In which I (almost) turn 30, and pull my back trying to recover
Read MoreAs many of you know, last week I took the plunge and signed up for my first "race" post surgery. This week, I began training.
Read MoreA couple of weeks ago I wrote a bit about registering for a race, and this past week, with my alarm set and two browsers open, it was time.
Read MoreI have always wanted to participate in a 365 day running steak, but my injuries would never let me. So, in the name of recovery, I've decided to adopt my own version of the #RWRunStreak by starting a #StretchStreak! That's right. Stretching. Every. Day. Read MoreYesterday was my last ever post op and I am happy to say that I am doing great. My progression is stellar. The doctor couldn't be happier. I am a free girl.

Read MoreAfter crutching it around for a week, I've graduated to an ankle brace!! I am still using the crutch for extra support when I am out, but inside the house I'm free to roam small distances on my own.
This is huge. Not needing to ask for help down the stairs or out of the shower- all big things. Two steps forward!
Read MoreThe past few days have been a little rocky for America, so I figured it was time to share a little good news. Besides doodling my way through this election, I also had my final post op follow-up until the new year!
Read MoreI have, hopefully, entered the last week of non-weight bearing recovery. After last time, I don't want to get my hopes up, but I can't help it. Getting around on one leg for 6 weeks is really hard. So far I've taken three big falls, including one down the stairs, and I'm a little nervous I dented my growing cartilage. Oh well, fingers crossed...
